Doctors: Why do they give you an appointment time if they’re just going to make you wait a half hour or longer until you actually see someone besides the receptionist?
in 7 hours :) Granted, I probably wouldn’t be excited if it wasn’t for the fact that I’ll be seeing and old roomie and in a lovely hotel on the cheap.
Trying to figure out how to take care of my new aloe plant - I’m redecorating my space with color, using both foliage and textile. Except until recently, I killed like every green thing that was ever in my care. I even managed to kill bamboo. BAMBOO. Which is supposed o live for 100 years. Unless it meets me. But now I’ve decided to change that and several aspects of my life. So, since December, I went ahead and somehow managed to get or buy forget-me-not and basil seeds, an aloe plant, a gorgeous green plant I don’t recognize, and a tiny fiery-colored cactus. God help me, and these innocent plants. …Maybe I’ll pull a Crowley and threaten them into beautiful vegetative growth?
This sponge is almost totally saturated from knowledge.
…to date a man who expects me to go home with him when he’s spent the better part of the night texting someone else on his phone while I have a great conversation with a different guy.

So even tho I’m not in DC, I can still enjoy cherry blossoms :) All that’s missing is Colleen, a picnic set and a collection of Raymond Carver’s short stories.
It’s so good to finally be back home for a little R&R before getting some work done.
